When I decided to plunge in to Cybersecurity, I started buying gear that I have been eyeing for years. I just never had the money, time, reason or experience untill now..

I am not sponsored by anyone.

The heading says it all. I just started blogging, and just started buying from vendors that I like and based my purchase are items that are fascinating to me. I don’t have a sponsor!!!

Certain vendors, are awesome.

I have spent many years in IT, I have developed a long list of Vendors and sales reps who are awesome. I have my preference depending on the need or want.

I make every attempt to stay away from Amazon, and big box stores. I reather in person visit places like Youdoit Electronic, Microcenter, Ham Radio Outlet, and 5.11. I love smaller mom and pop type places and pay cash. Look at you OffroadElements.com

Anyway for the spealized gear, I have to order online and I want to go directly to someone’s site over using Amazon unless I absolutely have to..

Hak5.org

I have followed Darren Kitchen and Shannon Morse at Hak5 for a long time. Them and Patrick Norton have always inspired me. While I have never met them in person, I feel like they are family as I invite them in to my home every week with their shows and updates.

I recently started purchasing tons of gear From Hac5, at some point I will write about it.

I wanted to support the brands, in addition to my patron and youtube support. I have purchase stickers and patches from both Hak5 and Threatwire. I updated my twitter with what I call “MailCall” tonight and both Shannon Morse and Darren Kitchen left me messages!! I’m in disbelief and FanBoying. In this day and age most people you purchase from don’t follow up let alone reply on twitter..

This made my week.. This is the kind of customer service that I get from my friends at www.offroadelements.com for all my jeep parts!! This is awesomeness, to have too tech celebs actually interact with me twitter.. I am on cloud5!!!

Hello and Welcome, To this Brave new Cyber world!

April 9, 2022

Thanks for the visit!

Welcome to My Blog! This is a work in  progress. Each week, I hope to explore the world of CyberSecurity, and All Things IT.

I am a 4X year old IT professional with a few different learning disabilities that I struggle with! I am here to create a safe place for all, with my insight of what worked for me and what hasn’t. My goals are to move more into a security focused role.

Please keep me honest and let me know what you think. I struggle with writing, and spelling. My hope with this blog is to get better with both, I relay heavily on tools like Grammarly (paid) and Yoast SEO (free) for grammar, writing and spelling. No tool is perfect and honestly neither am I!

Please let me know how you page to this page in the comments on Twitter.  I really am learning and trying to write better.

Again welcome to my blog, join me as I start a deep dive in to all things CyberSecurity!
